I’ve spent my entire life creating stories in my head, writing some down, playing ALOT of Dungeons & Dragons… basically a lot of things that keep me creative.
In 2023 I lost my spouse of almost 9 years in a sudden accident. I used journals and note writing to help me process my grief, and along the way I realized that what I needed and wanted to do was to write a book that would not only explore my own feelings, but maybe help someone else as well.
Given my history, obviously it must be a fantasy of some kind but the feelings and thoughts within are very real.

Well I took the advice of not going back to edit things while I’m still working to finish the first draft and it has helped a lot. Even though ideas change as I’m writing, I am realizing that revising is where we make it all make sense! I’ve just hit 50k words in the first draft and It’s hard to say how much is left, but probably another 20-25k to finish the idea? I was also reminded of a little…
