In March 2023 the unthinkable happened – I became a widow.
This brought a lot of challenges, naturally, and I searched for any kind of relatable content to consume to make me feel less alone. I watched videos, looked at art about grief, read books about death, found widows who gave love another chance…
I decided I would use writing as a process of healing. I would write my own misbeliefs into a character and send her on a fantastical adventure in my stead full of danger, mystery, and even new love. I would learn from myself through the eyes of a fictional character, and also write about stuff I love like magic and romance at the same time.
The story is about a witch named Willow navigating love, loss, and abandonment when a handsome young warlock comes to her for answers about the mysterious mists that claimed her husbands life.
